Mountain Valley Restaurant

Gujurati here!! The food was great. Definitely will come back next time I’m here. We asked for it spicy and they delivered. Some restaurants use the same base for the currys but this one didn’t so they tasted as they should. Excellent.

This is one of my best Indian food experiences in recent years. We ordered chowmein noodles, butter chicken, and momos (veg dumplings). All three dishes were exceptional. They had a perfect blend of flavors and tastes, and they were absolutely fresh. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for some tasty Indian food. The service was also excellent

I went tonight with my Aunt Ginny for the first time. We loved our server Daisy, she was so sweet and accommodating for us. On top of that, the food was PHENOMENAL. My 75yr old aunt said the samosa was the best one she's ever eaten. I got the Paneer Korma, and as expected, it was delicious. My aunt got a soup as her main and was happy with hers as well. Be aware this is a very small establishment, so even though there are about 6 or 7 tables, they are all kind of close together. So I would not recommend dine-in for large parties. I can see this being a big takeout order spot. That being said, for our party of 2 at 8pm in November, there were only 2 other pairs of people at tables, so that was not an issue for us. I really wouldn't hesitate to eat here again with a small group, and would definitely do takeout when we are back in the area. The 4.7/5 star rating is well warranted. I'd definitely recommend this place.

absolutely delicious. mountain valley is my go to for takeout! their Chicken Tikka Masala is perfection. I would dare to say the best Indian in vermont! a repeat on my food rotation without fail.

Mountain Valley (Winooski, VT) - A solid Indian‑Nepali spot just a short drive from Williston. We(party of 4) tried the tandoori chicken, chicken steam momos, chicken thukpa, chicken chowmein, and cauliflower 65. The standout was the chicken chowmein, delivering an authentic, flavorful punch that outshined the rest. The other dishes were tasty and priced very reasonably. The only downside was parking—we struggled to find a proper spot. All in all, worth a visit if you’re craving hearty, budget‑friendly fare.

Some of the most delicious food my partner and I have had in a long time! The beef momo was fried to perfection with a super tasty dipping sauce, and the chicken tikka masala exploded with flavor. The parotha was a light, airy, and flavorful conduit for this meal. Whenever we’re in the area again, we will be coming back!

This place serves authentic tasting Indian food. This is a HUGE plus, coming from an Indian myself who has been searching for authentic Indian food in Burlington VT. The chef Kabi is attentive to your needs. Food is fresh and flavorful, and portions are decent. This place is tucked away and with all the construction on the road, you might miss it altogether. Worth the effort though :) Definitely much better than Masala Elaichi restaurant !!

This is easily my favorite restaurant in the area. The curries are so well balanced, I can discern all the subtle flavors. I especially enjoyed the chicken korma. The portion size is good too. I tend to be a big eater and one entree was plenty. But I will never say no to momo as well. The people here are also super friendly and kind. My order through Google maps had an issue and they offered to call for me to resolve it. That didn’t end up being necessary but I really appreciated their concern.
